TaxCut Gives Americans an Extended Tax Deadline

Apr 19, 2007

E-File By April 21 and H&R Block Will Reimburse Late Penalties

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2007--For all the taxpayers who may have missed the April 17 tax deadline, H&R Block (NYSE:HRB) TaxCut wants you to know that you can still file your 2006 return, and H&R Block will reimburse your IRS late penalties if you file by April 21.*

"We want to extend late filing benefits to all taxpayers, not just those impacted by the Northeast storms or another company's e-file issues," said Tom Allanson, Group president of Digital Tax Solutions at H&R Block. "Not only will TaxCut reimburse IRS late penalties, all returns e-filed receive Worry-free Audit Support(TM) at no additional cost."

To qualify for this special offer, simply complete your 2006 federal return using TaxCut Online or TaxCut Software, and have it accepted by e-file before midnight April 21, 2007. Reimbursement covers the late filing penalty that may be assessed on your federal return up to $100.

TaxCut users can prepare and file their returns with confidence. TaxCut users also have access to Ask a Tax Advisor service, where an H&R Block tax professional can offer assistance should taxpayers need it.

TaxCut is not experiencing any server capacity issues impacting e-file capabilities like some other digital tax programs have reported.
