Chief Marketing Officer


Vinoo Vijay became the Chief Marketing Officer for H&R Block on April 23, 2018, reporting directly to President & CEO Jeff Jones. In this role, he is responsible for all marketing programs, to include brand strategy, product management and client experience, interactive and online experience, creative and advertising, and corporate communications.

Vijay brings over two decades of marketing and digital experience. He most recently served at TD Bank from 2012 to 2017 as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Corporate and Public Affairs, where he was responsible for overseeing all marketing and communication strategies. He also championed and led a national fintech effort to re-craft banking for the Millennial consumer.  

From 2008 to 2012, Vijay was Head of Global Brand and Product Marketing at Ally Financial, where he developed the Ally brand and was a key leader in the launch of Ally Bank, a leading digital bank player.  

From 2001 to 2008, Vijay served at Bank of America as a marketing executive in several key leadership roles, including leading eCommerce Marketing to achieve double digit online sales and service growth, leading strategy and marketing for the consumer real estate segment, and developing email, onsite and other core relationship marketing capabilities.  
Vijay began his career at FedEx in 1994 and served there until 2001. He held a variety of marketing roles, including spearheading the company’s small business loyalty program.
 
Vijay holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University with dual concentrations in advertising and marketing.
